
ENVIRONMENTAL & SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
Trimlec Electrical is committed to protecting the environment, preventing pollution and conducting all electrical operations in a manner that promotes sustainable and responsible use of resources. This policy establishes Trimlec Electrical's commitment to complying with applicable environmental legislation and requirements, minimising environmental impacts associated with electrical works, and continually improving environmental performance across residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and remote-site operations.
This policy applies to all employees, apprentices, contractors, subcontractors, trainees, work experience personnel and other persons working on behalf of Trimlec Electrical. It applies to all activities undertaken by Trimlec Electrical, including electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, commissioning, transportation, remote-site works, material handling, waste disposal and use of plant and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Trimlec Electrical Management will:

Provide appropriate resources, information, training and supervision to support environmental compliance.

Consider environmental risks and opportunities when planning work, purchasing materials and selecting work methods.

Ensure environmental requirements are communicated to workers, contractors and relevant stakeholders.

Monitor environmental performance and investigate environmental incidents where required.

Review this policy regularly to ensure it remains relevant, effective and aligned with legislative requirements.
All Workers will:

Follow Trimlec Electrical environmental procedures, site requirements and instructions.

Report environmental hazards, incidents, spills, damage or near misses promptly.

Minimise waste and use materials, energy, fuel and water responsibly.

Separate and dispose of recyclable and hazardous materials appropriately.

Prevent unnecessary disturbance to the environment when working on remote or sensitive sites.

Participate in environmental training and awareness activities.

Support Trimlec Electrical's environmental and sustainability initiatives.
ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES
Trimlec Electrical aims to:

INCIDENT REPORTING & RESPONSE
All environmental incidents, hazards, spills, pollution events or potential environmental impacts must be reported to Trimlec Electrical management as soon as practicable.
Where an environmental incident occurs, appropriate action will be taken to control the immediate risk, minimise environmental harm, investigate the cause and implement corrective actions where required.

LOCATION & ACCESS
This policy is maintained within the Trimlec Electrical management system and is made available to workers and relevant contractors. Workers requiring clarification regarding the requirements of this policy should contact Trimlec Electrical management.
MONITORING & REVIEW
This policy will be reviewed at least every two years, or earlier where there are significant changes to Trimlec Electrical's operations, environmental risks, legislation, standards or other applicable requirements.
Environmental performance, incidents, objectives and opportunities for improvement will be considered as part of the review process.
